  1. Allow the unit to warm up sufficiently (at least 15 minutes).

  2. Recall any existing program, (See “Basic Startup”) that is already set up for mode and resolution desired (oz x .01, grams x 1.0, lbs x .01, etc.)

  3. Press to see the true (analog) zero balance. For calibration purposes, this should be above +0010, since the scale will not display negative weight in the “gross” mode.

  4. Adjust the zero potentiometer if true zero balance is not within 0010 to 1000 range. (See “Single Unit Control Assembly” Drawing for location of zero potentiometer).

  5. Press to tare scale. This will put the scale in the “net” mode.

  6. Place a known weight or precounted parts of at least 50% capacity on/in the weigh bucket.

  7. Press followed by .

  8. After scale display stabilizes to within +/- 2 counts, enter weight, using all four digits and imaginary decimal point. For example, if you were doing 16 oz by 1/100th of an oz you would place a 16 oz weight on the weigh bucket and key in "1 6 0 0" ; That would read 16.00 oz. If you were doing oz by 1/10th of an oz, you would key in "0 1 6 0" or 016.0 oz.

  9. Remove the weight. If the display returns to zero +/- 2 counts, calibration is complete. If not, repeat steps 5 through 8.

  10. Store ¹ the change by pressing followed by the two digit memory location of your choice. Think of it as a "Save As" function. You can either save it under the same program number you recalled in step 2, or you can save it in a new program location without altering the program you recalled in step 2.
